Sunday's Scheduled Games
Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs at Albany Dutchmen
Connors Park - 5:05 PM
One of the PGCBL's fiercest postseason rivalries is renewed in regular season form on Sunday in Albany. The Dutchmen and DiamondDawgs have played in the East Division Semifinals in five consecutive seasons, with Mohawk Valley holding a 3-2 edge. This season, the Dutchmen have jumped out to first place in the East, while the DiamondDawgs sit a half game behind Watertown in the Central. Sunday's game is the first of just two meetings this season between the historic rivals.
Adirondack Trail Blazers at Utica Blue Sox
Murnane Field - 6:35 PM
A night after scoring 33 combined runs, the Trail Blazers and the Blue Sox will meet again in Utica. On Saturday, the Blue Sox scored eleven runs in the eighth inning to rally from a 14-8 deficit. The win moved the Blue Sox back to .500 on the season at 4-4, while the Trail Blazers' season-opening losing streak extended to eight games. Sunday's game is the final game in a current four-game road trip for the Trail Blazers, who will return home to Boonville on Tuesday.
Amsterdam Mohawks at Glens Falls Dragons
East Field - 7:05 PM
With four teams still within one game of one another in the PGCBL East, the Amsterdam Mohawks and Glens Falls Dragons jockey for position in their third meeting of the season. The home team has been victorious in both previous meetings, with the Mohawks winning 9-2 at home on Tuesday, and the Dragons taking a 2-1 win at East Field on Wednesday. In total, Glens Falls and Amsterdam will meet 11 times this season.
Elmira Pioneers at Geneva Red Wings
McDonough Park - 7:05 PM
After sweeping a doubleheader with the Newark Pilots on Saturday, the Elmira Pioneers have moved within one game of the Geneva Red Wings for second place in the PGCBL West. The Pios will have that opportunity on the road on Sunday at McDonough Park. The first meeting of the season between the teams went to the Red Wings, who won 2-0 on Wednesday. This game is the second of nine meetings for the West Division rivals.
