LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -- The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are pleased to announce the signing of junior outfielder Bronson Grubbs from California State University, Sacramento, for the 2017 season.
"Bronson is the type of player that we like to recruit, as he is an older player that has proven he can play at the highest collegiate level,’ DiamondDawgs Owner and President Travis Heiser said. “Since his freshman year, he has started over 100 games while controlling the outfield as the everyday centerfielder. We are looking for him to be a leader and are excited to see him in a DiamondDawgs uniform. He comes from a great college program in Sacramento State, where we have had many great players come from in the past, and we are confident he will be no different".
"I'm excited to be a part of the DiamondDawg organization this summer,” Grubbs said. "I have heard wonderful things about the coaching staff, the town, and the fans from former players. I'm from California, so it will be a great experience to be able to play baseball all the way across the country."
Grubs added, “Coming off an injury, my goals for this summer will be to get back to playing at peak performance and to continue learning as much as I can from the coaching staff and new teammates".
